Apple's most recent iPhone has made fewer sales then analysts were expecting. A tech-head at bgr.com, named Zach Epstein, explains why people aren't flocking to the iPhone 8. In his October 18 post "One simple photo shows why Apple's iPhone X is so exciting", he explains that since the release date of the iPhone X is nearing, many are stalling for the next best smartphone to come out. Why waste your money on a piece of technology [iPhone 8] that will be outdated in a couple months, when you could just wait for the iPhone X? The newness of the phone is not the only reason why people are stalling for the iPhone X. Besides the new chipset, better camera, and new OLED display, the iPhone X comes with a new and innovative exterior design, which the iPhone 8 doesn't provide. This is significant because "it's the first redesigned iPhone the world has seen since 2014."

ReplyDeleteWow! The iPhone 8 already came out? Thats amazing!!! Even though it might not live up to today's society's standards, it is a BIG upgrade to my Nokia 2760. Since when are phones are touchscreen? I won't be able to get the pleasing feeling of slapping my phone shut after a call but I think iPhones and new generation phones are waste of money. I miss the old days where I waited 3 weeks to get a reply from my international girl that lives in Zimbabwe.
ReplyDeleteI like how you added a rhetorical question. By giving a scenario it makes the reader think if it were to actually happen to them. I think some people might not wait for the iPhone X because of the price but, it does have nicer features than the iPhone 8.
ReplyDeleteYou made a good point about why people are holding back on buying the iPhone 8 because it would be cheaper in a few months. However, I doubt that the iPhone 8 is a complete flop. The reason why is because I doubt Apple was expecting a huge turn out for the iPhone 8, because a new generation of the iPhone was coming out soon, too. I believe that Apple did that on purpose so they can get started on innovating the new generation of iPhones.

I completely agree with you because the iPhone 8 is basically the same thing as the previous generations and it is definitely going to be lower in a few months. The iPhone 8 seems like a pre hype for the iPhone x.
