Apple acquired augmented reality headset startup Vrvana for $30M

By Vincent Wu

Apple is working on a headset that will be released in 2020. Apple has acquired Vrvana, a company that makes totem headsets. Vrvana's camera based AR approach is different from other companies. An advantage it has over other companies is that it holds true color animations rather than ghost-like projections. 1. I like how this is a short and sweet post. Although, it was pretty short I still got the information I needed to know. Also the picture helped me understand what the headset is and what it will look like.

  3. This article gives a good look at what Apple has stored for the future. Although, would this gain the necessary sales to make up for what they spent on developing it? VR is gaining popularity quickly, but I don't think it will be a crucial addition to what has already been achieved by 2020.
